George Lemelin and wife, Kathy, are ministering as Associate Missionaries to the Native American Ojibwa people in Ogema, Minnesota. Of the total population on the White Earth Reservation, forty-four percent, or 4,016 people, are "self-classified" as Native American, according to a 2000 U.S. census. In 2000, a total of 9,192 people lived on the reservation. The tribe has more than 20,000 enrolled members. Historically, the Roman Catholic Church, the Episcopal Church, and the traditional Indian religion dominate the tribe. Witchcraft is also a prominent fixture on the reservation. Please pray that God will open the door wide for the gospel and that He will physically protect the workers. George and Kathy have three children, Josiah, Marie, and Isaac. Please pray for the Lemelin family as they work to establish a Christ-centered, Bible-preaching, soul-winning Free Will Baptist church filled with Native American, Ojibwa people.
