Converted to Christ at a Bobby Jackson Revival at the Sulphur Springs Free Will Baptist Church as a teen in 1981. Active in the teen youth group until high school graduation. Educational: B.A. in Church Ministries, Trinity Baptist College, Jacksonville, FL; Master of Divinity, Beeson Divinity School, Samford University, Birmingham, Al. Master of Science, Community Counseling, Columbus State University, Columbus, GA Completed Clinical Pastoral Education (1 unit) at The University of Alabama Birmingham. I have recently enrolled in the PhD program at the Old Dominion University, Norfolk Va. Professional/Military: Enlisted in U.S. Navy 1983-1987; Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Unit. U.S. Navy reserve 1987-1991. Commissioned a 2nd LT in the Alabama National Guard, 31st Separate Armored Brigade in 1992. Served as a Chaplain Candidate in the Alabama Guard from 1992-1997. Came on active duty as a Chaplain (CPT) at Fort Rucker, Alabama in 1997. Assigned to Germany in 2000, 2-37 Armor Battalion, and Friedberg, Germany. Deployed to Kosovo in 2000 and Macedonia, Greece. Deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, Baghdad Iraq in April 2003. Assigned to Fort Sill, Oklahoma at the 2-3 MLRS Battery in June 2004. Selected for promotion to Major and the Family Life Chaplain program (June 2006) at Fort Benning, GA.
