Chaplain David Trogdon, a native of Fort Wayne, IN; received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Administration and Bible from Free Will Baptist Bible College and a Masters of Divinity Degree, with Biblical Languages, from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of the US Army Intelligence Center and School, Basic and Advanced Non-commissioned Officer's Courses, Chaplain Officer's Basic Course, Basic Airborne Course, and Clinical Pastoral Education. Ordained in the National Association of Free Will Baptists, he served as pastor for Tippett's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Clayton, NC for nine years.
Chaplain Trogdon first entered the Army as an enlisted soldier in 1979 and served until 1987. He also served in the Tennessee National Guard from 1987-1991 and the Army Reserves from 1991-1995. In 2000, Chaplain Trogdon returned to active duty as a Chaplain.
His assignments as a chaplain include: 1/50th Infantry Basic Training, Fort Benning, GA; 317th Combat Engineers, 3rd Infantry Division; Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC; USA MEDDAC, Ft. Campbell, KY; 52nd Ordnance Group (EOD), Atlanta, GA, 1st Aviation Brigade, Ft. Rucker, AL and Ft. Stewart, GA.
Chaplain Trogdon and Connie have been married for more than thirty years and have two children, Joshua (28) and Rebekah (24). They have also been blessed with three "perfect" grandsons, Nathaniel David, Anthony David and Joseph Blake.
