Info:
Raised in a small town in Northeastern Oklahoma, Chaplain Trimble is the middle child of a mid-western dairy farmer who raised his family to love the ministry and work of the Kingdom. Most of his love for nature and common sense comes from the many years on the family farm, working and enjoying creation. Kevin went to college and received a degree from Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College in Moore Oklahoma where he met his wife, Darla. They have enjoyed marriage and ministry together now for over twenty-four years. Their joy has been the raising of two great kids, Nathan and Rachel who have 'emptied' the nest. Nathan has recently graduated with ROTC honors from Vanderbilt College in Nashville, Tennessee, and is in training as a 2nd Lieutenant. Nathan is engaged to be married and will begin his Army Service in Fort Hood. Rachel is a Senior at Free Will Baptist Bible College studying Psychology in preparation for a degree as a Speech Pathologist and will begin her Master's work after graduation. A recent addition to the family is "Duke," a Basset Hound that is the center of attention. Chaplain Trimble's wife, Darla is from the Belton, Missouri. Her family has spent many years in faithful service to the local church. Serving from a platform of ministry in volunteerism, writing and teaching with International Bible Study Fellowship, Darla is serving at Fort Campbell as the Director of Children's Ministries at Memorial Chapel, working with Officer Spouse's Club and the Chaplain's Spouse Fellowship. She also is the FRG (Family Readiness Group) Treasurer for the 101st CAB. Committed to the church work of Christ in everyday life she is lending skill, love, talent and excellence to the women at the college. She is active as a runner and has competed in several marathons. Chaplain Trimble holds a Doctorate in Theology and while deployed to Afghanistan completed a Master's in Religion from Hillsdale FWB College. He has trained in Dale Carnegie, Financial Peace University and other military training including Emergency Medical, Aviation, Safety and is active in preparing 'Strong Bonds' retreats for his soldiers. He serves as the Battalion Chaplain of the 6th 101st CAB (Combat Aviation Brigade) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. During the recent deployment of OEF X-XI, Chaplain Trimble ministered to a congregation that outgrew a tent and also built a 4300 sq foot Coffee House/Chapel to serve Soldiers and Civilians on a 24 hour basis. Awards for Chaplain Trimble include the Bronze Star, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghan Campaign Star Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon and the Nato Medal.
